A new analysis from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy
shows that teen childbearing (teens 19 and younger) in North
Carolina cost taxpayers at least $312,000,000 in 2004.

Nationally teen childbearing costs taxpayers at least $9.1 billion a year.

Today, 2011, 1 out of 4 sexually active teenagers will have a Sexually
Transmitted Disease by age 18.
